a -Convergence and Complete Distributivity
in MV-algebras

Ioana Leustean

The a -convergence is a lattice-theoretical concept defined for l-groups by Papangelou and further studied by Ellis, Madell, Ball, etc. This paper investigates the a -convergence in MV-algebras related to its topological significance. The main theorem asserts that the a -convergence in an MV-algebra derives from a topology if and only if the MV-algebra iscompletely distributive.
