Pressure dependence of thermal expansivity in solids

A simple analytical form of the relationship for the pressure dependence of thermal expansivity in solids is presented, which is obtained from the relationship proposed recently by Fang for the variation of the Grüneisen parameter with pressure. It is shown that the calculated results on sodium chloride given by the presented relationship agree with the experimental data very well.
