Pressure – volume relationship of Sodium Chloride at high temperature

We disclose new expressions for volume dependence of the Anderson-Grüneisen parameter and volume thermal expansion coefficient. Developed expressions follow the constraints made by high-pressure thermodynamics of solids. The Fang expression of volume expansion ratio at P = 0 is applied at finite pressure for NaCl. Newly developed expressions are used to investigate P-V-T relationship for NaCl. Results are compared to the available experimental data. A close agreement between theory and experiment reveals the validity of the present study.
