Skin Effect Losses Calculations for Half Bridge Converter Using Fuzzy Logic

Studies on skin effect losses calculations for Half Bridge Converter Using Fuzzy Logic have been reported in this communication. The results for the design of skin effect losses for various frequencies and wire diameter have been reported taking frequency and wire diameter as the fuzzy input parameter and skin effect losses as the fuzzy output parameter. Results show close resemblance with those worked out by the conventional technique confirming the applicability of the fuzzy logic to the design of circuits in general. Taking appropriate domains for frequency, wire diameter and skin effect losses fuzzification of input and output variables has been carried out. Crisp output is obtained by five different methods of defuzzification employing Matlab tools.
