Multilayered Band Pass Microstrip Filter Using CSRR
Deepti Gupta and P.K. Singhal

In this paper a multi-layered planar band pass filter design for wider pass band with minimum distortion and improved return loss using folded stepped impedance resonator cells and complementary split ring resonator is proposed. Stepped impedance resonators and complementary split ring resonators are used to eliminate unwanted ripples while maintaining the filter pass-band performance. By properly designing and integrating the stepped impedance resonator cells with the band pass filter, not only the return loss of the filter can be improved, but also the filter size can be reduced. The proposed filter has a very wide pass band from 0 to 2.5 GHz. The measured results are in good agreement with the proposed structure achieving a significantly improved return loss and a wider stop band.
