Using the Soft Computing Method to Analyse and Model Laser Beam Welding
S. Jović, B. Jovanović, A. Ristovski and D. Lazović

Laser welding is used in different industries. Quality of the welding could by described by many geometrical and mechanical properties. It is important to know in ahead which parameters are optimal for the best welding quality. In this study was analysed the influence of laser power, welding speed, focal position and gap on the geometrical parameters of the weld, front width, front height, back width and back height. Soft computing (adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS)) was applied to determine the parameters influence. Experimental measurements were used to acquire the data. The results could be used to improve the laser welding quality in practical applications.
