Re-Programmable MVL Circuits and Architecture to Enable Evolvable MVL Hardware
P.M. Kelly, T.M. McGinnity and L.P. Maguire

Re-programmable MVL circuits, based on resonant tunnelling devices, hetero-structure field effect transistors and models of super pass gates, are proposed as fundamental elements in the architecture to enable an evolvable MVL hardware system. Designs for re-programmable MVL logic gates/look-up tables, a MVL latch, and a multiplexer are presented, along with architectures for FPGA-type configurable logic modules. Two and three-variable MVL counters are presented as example applications implemented using two different configurable logic module architectures.
