With developing the shipbuilding industry, aluminium alloys are using widely in hull parts because of their excellent strength, corrosion resistance, and weldability. Marine engineering equipment needs regular maintenance. In this paper, we selected a green and pollution-free laser cleaning technology to clean the aluminium alloy surface. The corrosion resistance and friction and wear performance of the 5A12 aluminium alloy surface after laser cleaning were studied. The research found the laser has the best removal effect on the surface of the aluminium alloy when the laser power is 80 W. When the laser power is 120 W, the MgO and MgAl2O4 oxides on the aluminium alloy surface was removed, and a new Al2O3 oxide film formed, which makes the corrosion performance improves.
