Thermal diffusivity of porous carbon at high pressures
Peter S Gaal, Daniela E Apostolescu

The measurement of thermal diffusivity of porous materials by the flash method is discussed. A high-pressure system operating to 1000 °C is described. Test data on porous carbon up to 3 MPa pore pressure are presented over the 30 to 1000 °C temperature range.
