DNA Computing – Origination, Motivation and Goals

The paper briefly overviews DNA computing systems, concentrating on the motivation, origin, recent achievements and future perspectives. While there are many comprehensive review articles published recently on the same topic, the present paper, being addressed to the newcomers in the area, is easy for reading and provides the most important references for students and researchers starting their work in this sophisticated area.
