A Review Study on Different Narrowband Spectrum Sensing Techniques Classifications in Cognitive Radio
Cheena Singhal and Amit Kumar

With the rapid increase in the growing population and technology advancement, there is rising demand of wireless sensing networking applications like mobile communication, satellite communication, etc. This rising need for communication has led to a lot of constraints on the usage of available communication licensed spectrum bands leading to problem of spectrum scarcity and underutilization of spectrum. This could be a result of static or fixed spectrum band allocation of licensed spectrum, to overcome this problem of underutilization of spectrum bands and efficient utilization of the spectrum Cognitive Radio technology is being introduced based on dynamic allocation of spectrum band and utilization of licensed bands with the unlicensed users in an intelligent way through intelligent spectrum sensing. In this paper we will highlight the various classifications and evolution of spectrum sensing techniques based on narrowband spectrum sensing used by Cognitive Radio to figure out the best available narrowband spectrum sensing techniques for efficient utilization of available spectrum bands.
