Deepika Verma, K.K. Verma and Chandan

In this manuscript a miniaturized dual band dual circular slot rectangular shaped passive circuit monopole antenna for WLAN/5G applications is presented. The proposed antenna consists of dual circular slot cut in the rectangular patch and also one rectangular slot cut in middle of the patch to create the proposed antenna and act as passive circuit. The proposed antenna generates dual frequency bands (2.4-3.4GHz) at 2.9GHz for higher band of WLAN application and (5.8-6.4GHz) at 6.2GHz for 5G/6G applications. The impedance bandwidth for the proposed antenna achieved by the first band is 34.48% and second band achieves an impedance bandwidth of 9.67% and also radiation efficiency of proposed antenna is obtained more than 90 percentages. The proposed antenna is designed on FR-4 material with dielectric constant is 4.4 and loss tangent is 0.02. The proposed antenna is more miniaturized as compared to the exiting references antennas. Detailed analysis of the antenna’s impedance characteristics and radiation behaviour is carried out to validate its suitability for multiband wireless communication systems.
