Surface Waste Layer Spreading from Multiport Diffusers

In this paper an effort is made to integrate some previous experimental results, concerning the surface layer spreading of waste, coming up in the calm sea water through buoyant jets issuing from ports with various inclination angles j to the vertical. A general equation is presented concerning the spreading velocity for angles between 0o and 90o and an interpretation of the entire behavior is attempted.
