Q-Rung Orthopair Fuzzy Present Worth Analysis for Sustainable Transportation Infrastructure
Eda Boltürk

Investment analysis has an important role in today’s smart city projects. Present worth analysis is one of the most widely used investment analysis techniques in the literature. The values of many investment parameters are not crisp and involves a degree of uncertainty and vagueness. Since the introduction of ordinary fuzzy sets in 1965, the extensions of fuzzy sets such as intuitionistic fuzzy sets, q-rung orthopair fuzzy sets, Pythagorean fuzzy sets and fermatean fuzzy sets have been proposed by researchers. Pythagorean, fermatean and q-rung orthopair fuzzy sets deal with fuzzy membership degrees with two parameters, membership and nonmembership degrees, and give expert hesitancy degrees. Present worth analysis has been extended to include fuzzy extensions in the literature such as spherical, hesitant, type 2 fuzzy sets. In this study, a new q-rung orthopair fuzzy present worth analysis extension model is proposed and used in sustainable transportation investment analysis. The proposed extended model is compared with Pythagorean and fermatean fuzzy present worth analysis methods.
