An Analytical Study on Mixed Convection Flow of Nanofluids with Viscous Dissipation
Chin-Chia Liu and Cha’o-Kuang Chen

This study discusses the mixed convective heat transfer phenomena of a nanofluid (Al2O3-water) passing through a vertical plate structure, and by nonlinear governing equations investigates the interrelationship between the viscous dissipation effect of the steady fully developed laminar flow in the structure. When the viscous dissipation effect is considered, the temperature field is dependent on the velocity field through a nonlinear term in the differential equation which is computed using the differential transformation method (DTM) given the assumption of asymmetric heated walls to obtain the heat transfer performance. The numerical results of this study provide more information about the behavior of Al2O3-water nanofluid flow.
