A Perturbation Solution for Viscous Dissipative Laminar Flow in a Porous-Saturated Pipe with Uniform Wall Temperature
K. Hooman and A.A. Ranjbar-Kani

A perturbation solution is presented to investigate viscous dissipation effects on fully developed laminar steady forced convection inside a porous saturated pipe with uniform wall temperature. The Brinkman flow model is employed. Having known the velocity distribution, the energy equation is solved by regular asymptotic expansions for large Darcy number case and the WKB method is applied for small values of the Darcy number. The results for limiting cases were found to be in good agreement with those previously reported in the open literature.
