Synthesis of Novel Carbazole-Based Polymeric Materials for Optical Applications

A number of syntheses of different carbazole derivatives that have recently been carried out in our lab are presented. The carbazole derivatives were in turn converted into vinyl monomers that were either polymerized or copolymerized. Since the main goal of this research was to prepare polymeric materials for optical applications, the spectra properties as well as electroluminescent properties of our carbazole-based polymeric materials are described.
