All-Optical Bistable and Astable Multivibrators

A novel approach to obtain all-optical bistable and astable multivibrators utilizing all-optical passive transistor is proposed in this paper. The proposed multivibrators are mirrorless, cascadable, polarization independent, workable with incoherent optical inputs and fiber compatible.
