Various Mechanisms of Controlling Optical Nonlinearity in Organometallics: Wide Wavelength Range Studies
Katy A. Green, T. Christopher Corkery, Marie P. Cifuentes, Mark G. Humphrey and Marek Samoc

We are investigating various ways of switching the cubic optical nonlinearity of organometallics between different states. These switching events can be classified as nonlinear chromisms: the nonlinear optical analogues of well-known effects such as electrochromism, photochromism etc. We review here the most important results obtained by us so far.

Keywords: Organometallic, metal alkynyl, redox-active, nonlinear absorption.
