Cyclotron Radiation Losses in a Quantum-Well Laser Diode Under a Magnetic Field

For the first time, we determine the cyclotron radiation losses in a quantum-well laser diode in the presence of a time-independent and uniform magnetic field perpendicular to the quantum-well layers of the diode. In fact, the above losses are calculated starting from the well-known Larmor´s formula for the electromagnetic power emitted by an accelerated charged particle.
