Maximal and Minimal Optical Transmittances of Cadmium Oxide in the Visible Range

We determine the maximum and minimum optical transmittances of cadmium oxide in the visible range, the maximum transmittance being reached at the so-called optimum partial pressure of oxygen in the deposition process of CdO. The optical band-gap shift in CdO (Burstein-Moss effect) is considered as a key ingredient in our calculations.
