Simulation Modeling of Sliding Mode Control of Electronic Throttle Valve Based on Control Algorithm
With the development of the automobile industry, because of their limitations the mechanical devices have been gradually replaced by the electronic ones. The throttle of a car, as a controlled valve to control the air into the engine, is called the throat of engine, and the precision of the throttle can be achieved by the use of an electronic device. In this study, the PID algorithm and sliding mode control algorithm were used on Simulink software to conduct precise tracking control experiments on electronic throttle. The final results demonstrated that the sliding mode control algorithm was superior to the PID algorithm in the control of electronic throttle. The response time and stability time of the sliding mode control algorithm were stable and were shorter than those of the PID algorithm no matter which opening it was. The response time and stability time of the sliding mode control algorithm in this study were 0.1 s and 0.4 s respectively.
