Breathing Behavior of Cosh-Gaussian Laser Beams in Media with Periodically Modulated Quintic Nonlinearity
Alex A K, Deepak Kumar, S. B. Bhardwaj and Naveen Gupta

The propagation characteristics of cosh-Gaussian (ChG) laser beams are investigated within a nonlinear optical medium exhibiting periodic modulation of the quintic nonlinearity. Employing a method of moments, a reduced dynamical model is formulated to capture the essential features of beam evolution. The influence of the spatially varying quintic response is systematically studied, highlighting its role in inducing and controlling breathing oscillations. Results demonstrate that the periodic modulation can be harnessed to control nonlinear beam dynamics, notably in the realms of pulse shaping, soliton trajectory modulation, and spatial beam localization.
